Abstract:
Patent trends are widely used as a barometer of inventive activity and a benchmark for evaluating the success or failure of innovation policy. The Clean Energy Patent Growth Index (CEPGI), published quarterly by the Clean Tech Group at Heslin Rothenberg Farley & Mesiti P.C., tracks the grant of U.S. patents in the major clean energy sectors: Solar, Wind, HEV (hybrid electric vehicles), Fuel Cell, Hydroelectric, Tidal, Geothermal and Biofuels.
